During the four years that I have been covering Austin musicians there is one thing that they all consistently do, they give. Whenever a fellow musician is in need you can bet a benefit will be organized with other musicians contributing not only their talent, time, but also their money. On December 1, 2024, at Buck’s Backyard, Hayes Carll, Kelly Willis, Bruce Robison, Lisa Morales, Thomas Spencer, Bri Bagwell Band, Del Castillo Trio, Shelley King and Carolyn Wonderland put their amazing talent on stage to raise money for their friend, Andrew Carrell. Pop-in surprise was Manzy Lowry. Organized by Lisa Morales, four plus music packed hours was on stage with one goal in mind, the support of their friend.
