How I spent my New Year’s Eve 2022

With all the choices one has in the Greater Austin area, it is difficult enough to make a decision of where to go. This photographer can only be in one place at a time. So Buck’s Backyard was chosen where Andrea Van Cleef, RubenV, and Del Castillo would be playing. It would accomplish two goals: First, a new-to-me artist, Andrea Van Cleef from Italy. Second, a musician I had not photographed in some time, RubenV.

On such a day, the last day of a year, one cannot help but reflect on the year about to end. It had its high points; becoming an L.L.C., the launching of my website, and the publication of my second book. This year also had its low points, family issues. My tapestry of life is no different than any other.

One also begins to think about the year before and what they want to accomplish. My goal is to continue to document the local talent of the Greater Austin area but this year I will begin another goal, to document the local talent of Texas beginning with Harlingen, Brownsville and then working my way to El Paso. Details to come.
