Women performing on the stage

LC Rocks

“LC Rocks is the real deal. They don’t have a schtick because they don’t need one. They’re the best at what they do.” -Tahli Messman, fan since 2009

LC Rocks has been performing live to packed crowds in Austin’s music scene for the last 20 years. They are best known for their vast array of 80s hard rock covers. They play mostly in central Texas but have also played in other states and even across the globe in Japan. What makes LC Rocks special though is how they cover the songs. It’s their dedication to delivering them with the perfection and purity of the way the original artist intended. While they put their own inflection into it, they wholeheartedly maintain the sound and emotional connection their audience expects and feels when hearing a song. Songs are magical in that way. You are instantly time-traveled to the place you first heard it or to where it was the most meaningful for you. LC Rocks’ talent lies within them knowing the power of that magic. They practice making sure their sets are seamless. The audience is taken from one song to another with intention and purpose; there’s no dawdling over what will be played next. They deliver a full show. The same goes for their crew in adding the lighting and sound you’d expect to see at a rock concert. This is due to the band’s high-intensity work ethic.

Matt Bray is the owner and lead singer of LC Rocks. He’s also a producer at his own recording studio, Room 611 Productions, which artists from all over utilize. He has an exceptional voice and is a consummate professional with a wide vocal range to cover many artists. He’s a perfectionist that expects himself and his band to give the audience nothing less than their absolute best. Guitar player, Paul Lidel, is a seasoned player who is in several world-renowned bands, but you wouldn’t know it while he engages with you in conversation like any friend would. He does not look at a cover band as something less, but as something more. He sincerely believes in delivering to the audience a stadium-quality show while at the local bar. Bass player Adrian Peritore has also played with many well-known recording artists. This colorful veteran of music has had experiences best suited for a biography. He’s a vital part of the rhythm section and a great singer, too. Rounding out the band is drummer, Rob Schumacher. He says his band mates push him to be his best self for every single set, every single night. He’s been known to do a drum solo while blindfolded. His talent is obvious and he has a great sense of humor, but it’s his heart that shines through. He jokes that the band is treated “like Bon Jovi” by some people, but does not take that for granted for one beat. He takes that responsibility seriously and makes sure that LC Rocks slays every performance for every audience. – Tahli Messman
